The inclusion of a hardcover version of A Life Transparent will push back the release date by a couple of weeks. Were you planning on buying a hardcover edition?
I planned on it, but my grubby hands will get on one no matter what the cover type was.

I scrapped the possibility of a hardcover for a few reasons:
1) It would be almost $30.
2) They take about 3 weeks just to fulfill an order. That doesn't include shipping time.
3) For me to cost-effectively sell signed copies, the price would fall somewhere around $45 because the shipping charges would increase (more weight).
4) Whether it be $30 or $45, I couldn't see myself spending that much money on a self-published book. And if I can't justify that expense myself, I can't expect anyone else to do so either.
Bottom-line: I'd love to make a hardcover edition available, but it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Sorry.

I would love a hardcover because of the fact that the cover does last longer, but since you are in a spot to which you cant then I dont mind as long as I have the book in my hands someday
